Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party service that provides results. Atlantic Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we use the information in the message to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We look at this in aggregate to keep the site healthy and to see which pages readers use. Cookies or similar technologies may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
We use limited operational data to run the service, diagnose problems, measure aggregate use, and improve reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create personal visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal data a website holds. New Jersey's researched public-records statute is the Open Public Records Act, P.L. 2001, c.404, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.; it governs government custodians, not this private reference. Because we keep little information, requests generally involve reviewing the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page. Requests involving New Jersey, Atlantic County, or municipal public records belong with the applicable custodian.
Policy Updates
Changes will appear on this page. Continued use after publication means the updated policy applies.
